Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Bites

Read on with caution.  You are about to hear about Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Bites, one of the most addicting desserts EVER.

How so?

Well for starters, they're made with chocolate and peanut butter.  That in itself should be reason enough.

But, as if that wasn't enough, they also take only about 10 minutes to prepare (minus the freezing time, but even that is optional if you don't mind getting a bit messy).  Which means there's all the more time to eat them.  And then make more... and repeat the cycle.

Although, if you'd like to avoid that, you could just double (or even triple) the recipe in the first place.  It's easy to do with this recipe.  No odd measurments to be found.  Just double the yummy, for the same amount of time.  What could be wrong with that?

Nothing, that's what.  Not even the fact that's it bad for you... because, believe it or not, these little guys are HEALTHY!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Crsipy Bites
  • 1 cup rice crispies cereal
  • 1/3 cup bran flakes cereal
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp milk
Measure cereals into a bowl and set aside.  In another small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients until a smooth mixture forms.  To make this easier, you can heat the honey and peanut butter in the microwave a bit so it can soften.  Once the right texture is acheived, pour wet ingredients into dry and mix to combine everything together.  Drop mixture by rounded tsp onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.  Freeze until firm.  Store in freezer.

Don't feel bad if you eat the whole batch of these by yourself.  It's hard not to.  In that case, I say you should just make more.  And then, if you don't care to polish them off yourself again, share them.  With your family, your friends, the random people who walk past your house.  It doesn't matter.

Not only are these Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Bites addictive, they're also sure to be loved my everyone!
